One of my favorite sources of protein is peanut butter.  It can be used to make sandwiches or spread on apples and bananas or celery.  I also use it to make sauces for pasta and rice.

There are quite a few brands of peanut butter on the market and they can be very different in terms of good nutritional value.  Reading the ingredients is a way I choose what peanut butter to purchase.  The ingredients should state “peanuts” as the only ingredient.  If the ingredients label lists sugar or other chemicals or ingredients it may not contain much in the terms of nutritional value.      The goal of eating whole foods is to eliminate chemicals used in the processing of foods which takes away its nutritional goodness.
